So many shows, so many rumors on what’s to come this season.  All eyes are sure to be on Supergirl when she arrives on the screen in early 2016.  The pilot has been leaked online and the reviews are good.  It’s sure to have a huge audience for the first few episodes, let’s hope it holds onto them. Being on a large network such as CBS means that the numbers need to be high to keep it going.

The CW is growing there DC group of heroes with the Legends of Tomorrow premiere in early 2016 after a big Arrow/Flash crossover episode.  It’s going to be exciting to watch all three shows and see how they crossover and interact over the coming season.

iZombie returns for a second season.  It’s a bizarre concept but it’s worth watching, lots of humor and zombies that can hold a conversation, make it a refreshing change from the Walking Dead style zombie.

Gotham is another big one.  I’m still undecided on this.  I enjoyed last season but I found myself leaving episodes on the DVR for a few weeks before watching, rather than having to watch live because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen.

Other shows being added to the tv schedule this season are Lucifer and Preacher.  These aren’t superhero shows but they are owned by DC comics. Finally there is the possibility of a live action Teen Titans series to be shown on TNT.  I love the Teen Titans comics and really hope this gets made and does justice to the comic book and the characters.

Last season left us with a one-armed Coulson, a vengeful Ward and contaminated fish oil.  After the amazing conclusion to last season, I’m counting the days until the season three premiere.  I hear that the Secret Warriors comic series will be influencing things so I am busy reading every issue on the Marvel Unlimited app.

Last season this was much better than anticipate.  I’m so glad it got a second chance.

This season Peggy Carter is going to be battling comic book villain Madame Masque.

Netflix Series

Jessica Jones

Still no release date for the next Marvel Netflix series but it should be before the end of this year.   It’s going to be based on the Alias comic book series and if season 1 of Daredevil it going to be typical of the Marvel Netflix series then this too should be great.

Photos are popping up online from the set of season 2, Punisher is set to appear as well as Elektra.  Rumor is that Bullseye may be involved too.

Click here to view photos of John Bernthal as Punisher.

It’s likely that the second season won’t appear on Netflix until 2016.  Both Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also set to be made into Netflix series and will follow the Jessica Jones series.  Hopefully we’ll see lots of crossover appearances before they are all eventually brought together for the Defenders mini series.

New on the Marvel Unlimited App 8/10

A list of the recent comics that have been added to the app this week.  Original publishing date for most of these was February 2015.  I love the Marvel app, it’s a great way to catch up with books missed, I will be using it a lot this month to learn more about the characters being released with the current SHIELD Heroclix set that I’m not too familiar with.

Heroclix Update

I am a big fan of the Heroclix game and want to use this blog to keep up to date with the latest releases.

This week sees the release of the new Nick Fury and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set.  There are a few figures I am really hoping show up in the boosters that I get.  I’ll should be getting a brick later this week so I’ll post pictures of some of the better things that I manage to pull.  Fingers crossed I’ll get a Thor, Namor, Captain America and a chase.

I played in month 3 of the Age of Ultron event going on this summer.  I didn’t pull anything too exciting but I did manage to get a couple of the ID cards.

New Marvel Comics this week 8/12

More Secret Wars titles this week (12 in all) with some of the limited series coming to an end.  I’m not enjoying the event as much as I thought I would.  There is a lot going on a almost too many different titles to afford to be able to read.  I’ll probably try and read it all once it starts appearing in the Marvel Unlimited App.  The only titles that i may pick up are Secret Wars and A-Force.
